- MTMarnie TabaSep 3, 20245.0This post office handles 10 times the normal work of a regular post office since everyone has to have their packages shipped to the post office. I think they do a great job handling the volume and are very efficient and friendly. Just plan to stand in line for about 15 minutes because there are so many people to be serviced by them.

When the girls see you coming they have already got your mail packages to the front. No matter how complicated overseas mailings may be, they handle it with aplomb! I love living in Hawi where all the little businesses are sweet and charming, and this post office is no exception. Tarne and Terri are pros! Thank you so much for all you do! I am upset to see some negative reviews here.
- SLSean LokiApr 6, 20191.0The rudest post office employees I've ever encountered. I'm pretty chill, and don't expect big fake smiles. But I've been repeatedly treated like I'm a drooling idiot for not being familiar with every little rule, by multiple employees here. When I was asking questions because I was fully aware that I didn't have the answers. Short, non helpful responses delivered in the most disrespectful tone. Send in a few undercover postal employees and experience it first hand, so you know which people need to be forced into an early retirement. I love the USPS, but I've now shipped several things with UPS just to avoid this horrid location.
