This post office has some of the most friendly postal clerks. The line moves pretty quickly, even though the clerks are still friendly and very helpful. Always fully stocked with flat rate boxes any of the sizes that you need you’ll be able to find them here. They also have some general merchandise shipping items along with greeting cards on the inside. My favorite post office on Oahu to send packages out.

I specifically chose to go to this location because of the good reviews of customer service. And I was right! Short lines, calm environment and John was so friendly. 5 stars all the way!

I've only been a few times, but have had a good experience each time. The first time they patiently helped me get everything I needed to send in some legal documents and pre-paid envelopes I needed to include. Another time I needed to pick up a prescription my mother sent to my house by accident, and they were great then as well. There are so many moving parts in the postal service, I never expect them all to go well, but specifically the front desk folks at this office are lovely!

I came in with a Certified Mail form (PS Form 3811 and 3800) that I’ve used many times before without issue. As I approached the counter, the clerk told me I must have a label printed in advance or I’d be charged, despite the fact that I’ve done this exact process here multiple times without a problem. I calmly asked if I could use the available labels, and she refused, stating, “We’re not going to do it that way, we’re going to do it the right way.” The tone was dismissive, and the refusal to process my mail was unjustified and unprofessional. For the record: refusing mail service without legitimate cause is a violation of USPS internal policy and federal law. Under 39 U.S. Code § 403, the USPS is obligated to “provide prompt, reliable, and efficient services to patrons in all areas.” This includes Certified Mail service. According to the Postal Operations Manual (POM 123.1): “Post offices may not refuse to accept properly prepared mail.” The green certified form (PS 3811/3800) is designed to be used at the counter, and clerks are required to assist in processing it, not force customers to buy pre-printed labels or redirect them unnecessarily. It’s clear this employee either lacks proper training or is willfully ignoring policy. Either way, this falls under service refusal and may even warrant internal investigation. I hope the Postmaster reviews this complaint seriously, as denying legally mandated services to the public is unacceptable.
