- SRSheila RawlingsSep 23, 20255.0Our Post Office in Ditchling is the centre of the village. A visit begins with a warm welcome from the family who run it. Newspapers, cards, magazines, every stationary requisite is there, batteries sold with old ones being disposed of safely. Basic food is available, with local fruit, plants and flowers, sweets and drinks and milk in the fridge, and even local wines, and with a notice board of customers’ adverts of every kind. Over and above this is a patient and friendly post office and banking service. Tickets are sold for all events throughout the year and help, and advice is always available at no extra cost! It is open seven days a week. We are all blessed to have such loyal and unfailing service. The village would be lost without Claire, David and James - and we are all so grateful for their overwhelming contribution to our village.
