He tried lying to me and saying you have to use a main post office. When I told him I know that's not true, he admitted he'd put his own sign up and not following the rules. I think you either follow the post office rules, or don't be a post office. Fortunately another branch in Batchley did it without question.

In more recent years I have used the store for other services, such as banking, as services have been removed from the town centre. Also, helped in finding the best and most affordable price for international packages. Management and staff are friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. It can be described as a step back in time, as they get to know you engage in conversation and make you feel part of the community..... a real local store. Sharon is a true character, flying about the store.
