Rob was extremely helpful and diligent when I asked for assistance to renew my driving licence. The on-line renewal process would only go so far before crashing, so I went to the Post Office and Rob sorted out the application in minutes saving me a lot of time and stress. Rob showed enormous patience and skill in taking the all important accectable photo. I would highly recommend using the Post Office and Rob for any further business

We had a lot of parcels to send and, after being turned away at another local post office, Donna was happy to serve us and help us out. Completely saved our skins!

I visited Evesham Post Office to renew my driving licence, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. More than several months ago, I visited the branch to renew my licence but discovered I still had a year remaining. On that occasion, I was helped by Jon, who was outstanding. He reassured me that when it was time to renew, I could simply come back and a member of staff would help me complete the whole process in the branch, with my new licence then arriving by post. He completely put my mind at ease. When I returned to renew my licence, I explained clearly to Caroline that I needed support with the renewal and mentioned this several times that I had previously been told everything would be done for me in the branch. Instead, I was handed a paper form to complete. When I asked for help with the form, Caroline asked her colleague Robert, who immediately said they could not complete it for me. I explained that I had been told someone would help me through the process. Robert asked whether I had received a DVLA renewal letter. When I said I had not, he told me I was too early and should come back. I explained that I wanted to renew it before the summer holidays because I knew I would be busy. He simply told me I would receive a letter, scan the QR code, and that it was "easy". I explained that I wanted support in the branch, just as I had previously been promised. Robert then told me to ask a colleague or family member to help instead. My family do not live nearby, and I found this response dismissive. During our conversation, he also raised his voice. I told him I was uncomfortable with that. Only afterwards did he mention that the renewal could actually be completed using the machine in the branch. He claimed I had asked for a paper form, but I had not. From the beginning, I had only asked for support with renewing my driving licence. Caroline then brought over the machine and admitted she had never used it before and had only seen someone else do it once. Despite this, we managed to work through the process together, took my photograph, checked everything, and completed the application in around ten minutes. I cannot understand why I was given a paper form in the first place. Was it because it was quicker? Was it due to a lack of confidence or training? Whatever the reason, the whole situation could have been avoided. There needs to be greater empathy and understanding for customers who find forms difficult or who are not confident using technology. I was not asking anyone to do it for me. I was simply asking for the support I had been promised. Jon set an excellent example of customer service. He was kind, reassuring, and made me feel supported. Sadly, this visit was the complete opposite. I felt I had to repeatedly explain myself and fight to receive the help I needed. A little patience and understanding would have made all the difference.
