Returned undelivered because customs declaration was stuck to back by post office instead of front as required - £18 wasted. Complaint 2 sent parcel from post office to Gothenburg Sweden. Post office entered £140 for T shirt instead of £14 and now Swedish Customs want £81 duty to collect. Totally unreliable!
- SGSimon GerhandNov 18, 20241.0Had the misfortune of needing to go here for an identity check for a DBS application (not all post offices can do this). It should have been straightforward but it wasn't. The man behind the counter was extremely unhelpful and not polite at all. I imagine he gets lots of angry customers with his attitude. The first problem was I had printed a copy of my utility bill. He told me he couldn't accept it and that I needed "an original", which I did not have as I went paperless years ago. He suggested I get a bank statement instead, which was fine as the bank was round the corner. I returned with my "original" bank statement as instructed, only to be told he could not accept it as it was not a utility bill!!! He was the one who told me to do it. So I requested a utility bill which arrived just before the deadline. I took it straight there along with the form I needed them to scan to confirm the check had been done. He got out his tablet to scan the bar code, but it didn't work. He simply stated it wouldn't read it. That was it. I told him I needed this done today or my application would be rejected. He simply restated his tablet wouldn't read it. No apology, no helpful suggestions, nothing. Called the DBS service who said this was not a common problem and it must be the system in that post office. They advised using a different post office, which I will make sure to do from now on.
- YMYvonne MallorySep 14, 20235.0My driving licence expired and needed renewing etc. I thought I'd have have to get a form from Post Office and obtain new photo then send to DVLA. Aiman was amazing (Post Office Manager) he updated everything for new driving licence on line and took photo to add to my new licence. I gave my old expired licence to Aiman and he is sending it back to DVLA etc. I did not have to pay any extra just the correct fee for renewing licence. Thank you so much Aiman for all your help such a brilliant service.! I would recommend your Post Office and will definitely return in future.
