I used to come to this post office all the time but the last few months any time I have come here there's a paper stuck somewhere informing patrons that the post office is shut early. How wonderful it would be to know of these altered times before wasting half an hour of driving. Today, on a Wednesday it is closed between 13:30 and 18:00 for unknown reasons again. This place is just unreliable these days

I just walked out of Walcot Post office inside Coop, the young guy stoking the self said is closed as they are short staffed. There was no customers at that time and the restocking could have waited. I also rushed on foot to catch before they closed all the way from Marlow Avenue. I will not go there again, such a shame.

I’m always a bit surprised by some of the negative reviews, as my own experience here has been very positive. I find this Post Office convenient, efficient, and incredibly useful, especially because of the extended opening hours within the Co-op.
The staff clearly deal with a lot of pressure and a wide range of customer needs every day, and I really feel for them. It’s not an easy job, and I think a little patience and kindness from customers goes a long way.
I’ve always found the service reliable and straightforward, and I genuinely appreciate having this facility locally. It’s something I value and am glad to have in the community.
