As a pensioner, the post office is a lifeline for keeping in touch with my family and friends, many of whom live far away from me. The staff are so friendly and helpful, especially in a village context, where they know many of their customers by name, which is not something you can often say about post offices in larger towns. It gives you the feeling that you are getting personal service and you are cared about.

Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?
If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch.
