There are times you can walk into this “shop” and not hear a single word — just a hand reaching out to take your money or hand you your change. I’m not sure what’s going on, but the girl and the older biddy might as well be invisible. The lads are slightly better; you might get a few words out of them, but any form of politeness? Forget it. Every other local shop on the parade greets you, says please and thank you, hands you your change with courtesy — the standard pleasantries you’d expect. But this lot? Honestly, it’s unbelievable. Then there’s the horrible, overpriced tat. Who actually wants that cheap “made in China” rubbish? It’s probably made with toxic materials and paint!! I’ve started going to the one in West Green instead. They’re professional, respectful, and the store is tidy, well-lit, clean — and best of all, no dangling electrical cables everywhere.
