Advertised as 1:30 reopening time. So popped down and there’s a note on the door saying ’open at 1.45’! This happens all the time. Even when they do open at the published times, the queues are always long and slow.

Having checked the website I visited to get an International Driving Permit. When I reached the front of the queue I was told rather abruptly that as it was lunchtime they did not provide this service & I was pointed in direction of notice on counter which explained this.
I mentioned that I had carefully checked website for information (and this was not mentioned there) to ensure my hour round-trip journey would not be wasted. The rather dismissive response by the gentleman behind the counter was that I should try another Post Office and he stormed off to another part of the shop. Simply astounded at this rudeness and arrogance!
I try and support the local high street shops which seem to be in terminal decline but an experience like this does nothing to encourage me. I will certainly not be using this Post Office again.
