You wouldn't believe the day I've had!
Going to this post office was an experience more akin to slow torture than any form of civil service I've ever experienced. Honestly, it would have been less hassle to shove my parcel up my bottom and hop to the desired destination. Walking like a cowboy with rickets as I did.
Staff in the general shop are friendly and it feels as though those who are most unlikeable are exorcised from the till to the Post Office in order to stop the children crying at the site of a grumpy Mussolino impersonator.
I strode, twirling my cane, up to the counter and the woman there was as friendly as a Viper with a particularly nasty hangover. Face as cheerful as an Easter island head and all the charm of a bad tempered ferret. Ah Lady D (you know who you are 😉), you'd make me a happy man...
The server was rude and accusatory. Yelling and demanding. Shouting and moaning. Like a Trump rally in miniature.
I said "Listen to me good lady! I shall not tolerate this insolence any longer. You shall not have my custom again!"
I flipped the charming Lady D a double bird (and frankly that was a mild response from me) and left the establishment. I was running late for a meeting of Psychopaths Anonymous, maybe there I'd find a person more capable of empathy and human kindness.

Extremely rude woman at the post office. Seems to hate customers. Told me she didn’t have my DPD parcel even though it was signed for… spent 20 mins on the phone to DPD who confirmed the post office had it. Went back in and she gave excuses saying she found it and then followed me out… which she didn’t, because I was sat just outside in the car. She has an awful ‘can’t be bothered’ attitude.
