I took advantage of the Passport check and send service offered by this Post Office. The member of staff came out from his break and completed my transaction. I don't do digital much so was glad to be able to sort my Passport "old school".

Past 2 days i have gone to the post office in the afternoons and both times it’s been closed and a waisted journey and time! Not very efficient at all! Maybe change your opening times if you’re not going to be there in the afternoons

Went in today to buy some stamps, paid for them on card. Was asked if I wanted a receipt, I said ‘no, as long as it’s gone through’ and was told that it had. Left the shop and put one of the stamps on the envelope only to have the same member of staff shout after me telling the whole street my payment had been declined. I returned to the counter and tried a different method of payment (thinking it might have been an Amex issue), second different card also declined. I asked the staff member if the machine was working ok to be told ‘of course it is!!’ Physical card tried, another account, and declined again. Told staff that it must be their machine as there is money in the account and this was the third attempt, which was laughed off as though it was an impossibility. Last option was a pre loaded card, again declined. When I insisted that there was a problem with their machine same staff member then asked how I was going to pay for the stamps? I pointed out that they had told me that the payment had gone through, so I had left the shop and already placed a stamp on the envelope. I suggested trying the machine at the post office counter to withdraw cash from my debit card. Staff insisted that we use the same machine, guess what, declined, same member of staff then took the book of stamps back off the counter, and picked up my envelope and started to peel the stamp off! No idea what he was going to do with it afterwards.
Went to Waitrose instead and bought stamps with the first card I’d tried at the post office, without issue.
Went back to the post office to show them that it must be their machine, which they finally accepted, telling me that every card since mine had also been declined. Yet at the same time he was still trying to process yet another payment by the same machine?? Something not quite right…..

I went into today to pick up 2 parcels I was told I needed to have a code but on my account it said to pop in with my ID. I said I didn’t have a code and then the guy said I was causing a queue very loud so everyone looked at me! (A queue had already been formed because a lady a couple of people ahead of me wanted some Australian dollars and he had to go and find some).
I’d been queueing for a while but it’s understandable it’s Christmas time.
Anyway I showed him my ID and he said he’d book the parcel out which showed on my account so I don’t know why there was such a problem. I then asked about my other parcel and well he made me feel really bad again saying about the queue and a code. I showed him my account and where I get the code from but he wouldn’t help.
He said he’d get it hesitantly I said to the lady in the queue behind me and she said I believe you. I just felt so bad because he kept blaming me for the queue loudly when maybe Instead of blaming me there should have just been more staff. He manually processed the next parcel and I said to him it shows I have picked the parcels up.l but he kept muttering about the code and the queue.
He could see I only live down the road so if there is a problem get in touch and maybe don’t think negatively of your customers.
