How do I deposit a cheque at Post Office?

To deposit a cheque, you’ll need to bring the following to your nearest branch: *The cheque *A completed deposit slip from your bank, if applicable. Please contact your bank to request paying-in slips as these are not held in Post Office branches *A cheque deposit envelope for your bank (these are available from your own bank or the majority are stocked in Post Office branches) Please do not enclose cash. Full instructions can be found on the cheque deposit envelope. Simply hand over your sealed cheque deposit envelope to the Post Office who will provide you with a receipt for your cheque deposit envelope.

Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?

If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch. You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. the people inside of this shop are absolutely OUTRAGEOUS, these SCOUNDRELS! how dare you try to scam me out of MY money despite there CLEARLY being a ‘Lemonade and Tropical Ice Lolly 10P’ sticker RIGHT there on the freezer! i come up to you with 40P, wanting to buy 3 lemonade ice lollies and giving you a 10P tip, and you in your PREPOSTEROUS, BOOMING voice goes ‘oh no sir no this is 40p not 10p’ and DESPITE me showing him the sticker he goes ‘nono 40p this is all 1.20 for these ice lollies’ ‘sir’, how about YOU STOP SCAMMING PEOPLE and CHARGE THE RIGHT PRICES! this post office is literally right outside a school, and i bet none of the children there care, but GOLLY OH ME OH MY am i OUTRAGED at this working class man’s ego to try to scam me out of the deal you had there for so long, obviously plastered there for anyone to see, and you still deny the facts ONLY you are blind to view, i pity you, you sad excuse of a shop owner

This corner shop/post office is handy for anyone who only have time to pop in post office on weekends, because you can post your parcels and letters even on Sundays (open till12:30pm). They do close from 11am~1pm Mon to Friday (I think) for a break, you can ring them before you go. Overall, still a handy little shop for locals.

I visited the post office fri 28th of December,i popped in to buy a friday euro millions lottery ticket,firstly the lad behind the counter told me i couldn't pay for the ticket using my debit card,he told me to use the post office to withdraw cash,so i waited in the queue,when it was my turn the guy behind the counter just stared at me,so i asked if i could withdraw £10 from my Coventry building society account,very rudely and abruptly i was asked to put my card in the hand machine,for some reason my card was rejected,so the man very rudely asked me to take my card out & put back in again,it still didnt work,the man again very abruptly said that my card didn't work,so i popped in the the supper market "go local extra" at the bottom of school hill,they are so lovely & polite in there.For some reason my card miraculously worked fine in there so save yourself the hostility and go to the "go local extra" in chappel end..
