I am not a fan of the attitudes of some of the older female staff members. I have been in a good few times and have been treated like a school child (despite being 29) everytime.
I was in today between 11am-12pm to exchange currency, after telling the older woman this all I got was a shriek of "explain!". No "hello" no "how are you?" or more importantly no "in what currency would you like to exchange to?".
It is the interactions with obviously younger adults is an ongoing issue at this post office. What they say and how they phrase it to people must improved. The customer experience must always be a pleasant one and if they look or appear younger this must not change that.
This is just today's example but every time I am in (and certain older females serve me) there is always an issue in what they say and how they say it. This isn't the 60s anymore.

Always a short queue and helpful staff. An asset to the community. Come with parcels, leave with fresh, local Scottish tablet.

I watched the gentleman in front of me being served by post office staff, who were unfriendly, perhaps the only person he spoke to today. Barely a please or thank you. I was summoned to be served next and experienced the same as I had observed previously. A smile and thank you go a long way. If you aren’t happy in your job try not to show it!
