Terrible customer service. If I could give zero stars I would. The man was very rude. Definitely not a one off, every time I go there they are rude. For those reading that feel the same I recommend making a direct complaint to the post office website. Hopefully they’ll make a change if they get enough complaints.

The staff are incredibly rude, obnoxious and self invested in their own self importance. They suck at customer service and are the worst post office I've ever experienced. I hope this post office comes under severe scrutiny for their misery and awful awful service to the wealthy community of Purley. Disgusted and dread every time I go.thete to get a parcel.

I can't recommend this post office enough. I recently forgot to collect a parcel containing something very valuable to me, and I was so worried I'd lost track of it. When I finally came in, the staff not only had it safely waiting but remembered me by name, a small thing that made a huge difference and put my mind completely at ease.
A special thank you to Mariann and Sujan, who are consistently warm, welcoming, and go above and beyond for every customer. Their attentiveness and genuine care are rare to find, and they've turned a routine errand into something I actually look forward to. This branch is lucky to have them.
Thank you both so much, your kindness and honesty didn't go unnoticed! THANK YOU VERY MUCH

After using this post office for years Its sad that the new staff from a year ago to now are too rude and picky. Cant even pick a parcel from my wife with her ID and facetime confirming that she's allowing me to pick it up. This customer service needs training, a lot of training.
Also it's illegal to ask the motorbike rider that was visiting to remove is helmet if his face is fully uncovered, face id can still apply with his helmet on the way it was. Check the "laws" you are trying to enforce and improve your customer service. I doubt that with that miserable faces and service you last long with the post office service

I just got shouted at and ganged up on by the two women working there. The lady behind the counter was rude almost immediately. And then there was an issue because Amazon counter requires each item to be handed over to be packaged individually by staff. I didn't know this and has packaged all the items in one parcel with the one QR code I had been given by Amazon. Nowhere on any Amazon instruction does it mention that post office workers need to package each individual item into separate parcels. There were 36 bookmarks altogether across two parcels. I tried to make it easier for them by changing the return options so they did not need to re parcel the remaining 20 bookmarks individually but wish I hadn't. They were not even pretending to not be rude, the shorter lady with dark hair was raising her voice at me on front of her manager (taller lady with curly hair) and the manager did nothing except say she has done nothing wrong. Apparently being extremely outwardly rude and shouting at a customer is fine behaviour. They would not give me their names. And the manger said to make a complaint I had to come back tomorrow. I will be making a formal complaint to the post office and with the postmaster. All of this was witnessed by a large queue of people's some said it's common the short last is rude. The other terrible reviews are to be believed.
