The lady’s attitude was extremely authoritarian, outdated, and lacking even basic manners. There were far too many notices everywhere telling customers what to do and what not to do, which felt completely excessive for a small corner post office shop - something I have never experienced anywhere else in the country. I also noticed a significant difference in her attitude towards customers who were not native English speakers, which was particularly uncomfortable to witness.

This is a grocery store and sub post office, with a reasonable range of essentials, including a variety of breads, cakes stationary, tins, chilled goods, drinks and snacks. They keep the shelves adequately stocked and the opening times are decent. It seems picky to me to complain about problems with the post office (stemming from short staffing issues) when we're lucky to have one at all. They do their best.
The staff are friendly and helpful, which is more than can be said for the local Costcutter, and I tend to choose G&A over them for that reason. My mother only had to go in there a few times and ask about vegan food, and some vegan-suitable naan bread showed up. Clearly, they listen.
