Initially, came in for a licence renewal service. While the service I found to be reasonably well-timed, unfortunately customer service was a little sour. The initial lady I spoke to (who I'm told was the manager on duty) was not very approachable and quite dismissive. I asked if she did licence renewal and she very quickly dismissed and said, "we don't do that here." I proceeded to let her know that I was sent a form with the option of post-office renewal, which she then responded "sit and the other lady will help you." There was no que at the time and she did not give an indication of timing; I also had to promt her to find out the wait time. Unfortunately, the lady who served me was a little passive aggressive and unclear with some of her requests, also quite dismissive. I wouldn't return here again. I hung around a little after to gauge the general atmosphere of customer care here and it seemed to be consistent with the way I as treated. Whilst I appreciate the actual customer service was poor, a little hostile and a tad sour, would benefit from improvement in customer relations.
With Kind regards,
Governor Coote.

On numerous occasions I have used the post office in Elmfield south Croydon.
On theses occasions I have brought an envelope for the letter and then paid the cost for next day recorded delivery
Today I went to the Croydon high street branch and was served by Selena Solomon she was very helpful, offered me the use of her pen when I realised I didn’t have one and then informed me that you do not require the cost of a separate envelope as the post office have free ones available on request and your only cost is then the next day recorded delivery charge
Today that saved me £1.99 so I could have saved quite a bit the last few months if I had been informed by the prior post office and we know that this is helpful as we all know the cost of living is high.
Well down to Selena for being a competent employee that lets her customers know what’s available to them and not taking extra unnecessary money also she was lovely and had very friendly, and approachable manner

Absolutely dreadful service, the staff do not acknowledge you, they are rude..this place was meant too close.it should do and put into the New WH Smith across the road ..The current state of the lovely Post Office is on its knees..there is never a manager around to make a complaint ,the attitude of one particular member of staff ,should be removed and replaced with a friend pleasant person who wants to be there ..I am
used to this Post Office which was a friendly place .. it’s the complete reverse .your in a queue and it would be 20 plus deep,no one looks up,if you ever draw it to that particular persons attention, your immediately shut down ..awful place to visit

Queues are awfully long, the service is so slow and even the self service machines are always out of use. We need more staff in this branch. Something needs to be done.
