- MJMichael JoyJan 9, 20261.0I Arrived at 4.20 to post a special delivery parcel for my grand-daughter's 18th birthday. I Was told the post had not yet gone by the young man, but he was over-ruled by an overbearing woman who said the list had been completed 5 minutes before so it could not go for 24 hours. I was told I had to pay the extra - £13 odd to which was added a further £3 for Saturday delivery. I can recommend "Post Mortem" published by Private Eye on the Post Office scandal. It is a shame that a few such as this let the side down when the majority are so worthy and suffered so much. Needless to say I will not be returning which will be a comfort to them as they obviously dislike their customers.

Advised me to take it to post office in town which has been closed for months. Also unable to take a cheque from another lady as she didn't have the correct envelope and was unhelpful about what the lady needed to do next.
