Staff gave inaccurate and confusing information regarding a collection item. I was told “they don’t get paid for the collection” and that the parcel would be destroyed because there was no name on it. The parcel was not handed over even after I showed my tracking receipt and ID.
I appreciate that the absence of a name on the parcel may have caused concern, and I understand staff have procedures to follow. However, the situation was communicated in a way that felt unprofessional. I was told the parcel “could be drugs”, which was upsetting when I had simply come to collect a personal item.
I later successfully collected the exact same parcel from the main Royal Mail office the same day without any issue or questions. I was disappointed with how the situation was handled and felt the communication could have been much more professional.

Love this post office I come here ! I get a smile and help before I ask! All the staff are happy and ready to help everyone! They go way beyond their job roles! Puts the central post office to shame !!! I refuse to go there anymore as it’s so underwhelming with no staff and nothing but endless queues!!!

Special thanks to the post master of this post office, Ms. Bryony, who gave me all the information to my request to Phoebe. The previous day another Post Office located in Bath, did not accept two packages despite i did book and fully paid for It. Instead, in this Amazing post office, they accepted and managed to ship them for me after wrapping all as well. You have been so kind.
