Lost or delayed postage of a letter. Is it purposefully ?? Like a couple of other post offices I have visited, I feel as though i'm always being pressured in to paying for a special next day delivery over a normal 1st or 2nd class signed for delivery. They will ask if the item is important. And then practically say are you bothered if the item arrives? And if you want to make sure the item arrives then pay for the special delivery, which costs significantly more than the first or second class signed-for.
The reciept for the 1st class signed-for delivery says they aim to deliver the next working day and I was told at the till, it can take anywhere between 1 to 3 working days.
5 working days later the letter I had sent via this post office has still not been recieved. I feel as though I would have had more luck posting through a letter box with a first class stamp than pay for signed for delivery at this post office. Is it this post offices fault? or how much of it is Royal Mails doing in general? Pushing people to pay a premium price if they want to make sure their item is delivered.
We are living in bad times when you post something from a post office and unless you pay the premium there is no guarantee that your post will be sent successfully.
Regardless of monetary value of an item all letters and packages are important to the sender and reciever and every effort should be made to make sure that the letter or parcel is sent and went withon the correct time frame specified.

Get the job done (posting things) but a very sad run down place compared to the post office of old. Could do with some clearing out, and modernising. Especially as the only post office left in the Solihull/Shirley area
