I'm compelled to write this review as I've received poor customer service on two occasions within the last week at the Post Office in Balsall Common. On both occasions I'd been waiting patiently in line for over fifteen minutes. When it came to my turn I was told to wait (- not asked politely, but told. No Please, no Thank you- ) as the server needed to sort out the postage bags to be collected by the postman. I understand the need for this to happen. What I don't understand is why there was only one person working the shift at the point the postman is known to turn up in the afternoon. This is really poor planning. I overheard the server state to the postman that another member of staff was on holiday, but surely there should be a back up plan, as the system was clearly not working efficiently. There was no apology for the additional wait, either, on both occasions. The poor etiquette was emphasised further when having finally been served and handed the postage receipts I needed, the server was conversing with the postman still, rather than acknowledging the customer (me) and offering a simple thank you or goodbye. You need to do better. It's basics. Update - I've just returned from a third visit within the last seven days (yes I ordered too many clothes that didn't fit), met with the same lack of courtesy as before. No 'Hello', 'Thank you' or 'Good bye'. This is basic stuff. It's really poor.
