However, my recent experiences have been deeply frustrating due to one particular staff member who seems to have joined the team recently. Her attitude is appalling. She’s consistently rude, visibly irritated by even the simplest, most polite questions, and seems unfamiliar with basic procedures. Eye-rolling, sighing, and dismissive behavior are the norm when dealing with her. It’s as if customer service is beneath her, and she’s banking on the fact that this is the only post office in the area. It’s incredibly disappointing to see such disregard for customers, especially in a service that many rely on daily. A little courtesy and professionalism go a long way, and unfortunately, that seems to be sorely lacking here. I hope management takes note and addresses this, because the community deserves better.

Person serving at shop counter advised that he didn’t know how to operate the mail counter and that his colleague was on a break, but couldn’t say when he would return. Another customer gave up after 10 minutes, but as I don’t have a local post office in my area 10 miles away I thought I’d wait. I finally had to leave after 20 minute. Atrocious lack of consideration for customers wanting to use Royal Mail. So another journey tomorrow to the next post office out the opposite direction, and another eighteen miles round trip. Strathaven Post Office is located in a busy petrol station/mini market but can’t cope with providing a service to those wanting to use the service of Royal Mail.
