- XXxyloAug 14, 20261.0I arrived at this post office at 16:57pm, understanding fully that it was very nearly time for them to close, but I figured they’d close at exactly 17:00pm as advertised and as you’d expect, so i went in with 2 parcels to give, they instantly told me it’s too late and i had to go, I asked very nicely and said “please?” and expressed kindly to the two ladies working at the till that i’d be really quick and there was clearly enough time to serve me before they close, the lady in front of me who was also denied service stepped in whilst this conversation was happening, and she was also clearly frustrated and asked them “are you really closed? or do you just not want to serve him?” the only counter argument the lady working had was “ma’am it’s too hot”? I didn’t know that had anything to do with choosing not to severe people during working hours and essentially closing a little bit earlier just because it’s too hot or you can’t be arsed. Personally i’ll just avoid this post office from now on, and just figured i’d tell everyone what to expect if you maybe arrive a couple minutes before closing time
