- WBWayne BarracloughOct 16, 20251.0Just had a really poor customer service experience trying to change the tax category on my car. I originally wanted to sorn it but this wasn't possible, so I asked if I could set up monthly direct debit and was told no, not when changing the tax class, so I said ok, I'll have 6 months tax, but was then told I couldn't use ApplePay to charge by debit card for it because it might break their system. I was told to speak to DVLA which I did and they confirmed there was no problem paying it by direct debit. I went to Ordsall Postoffice and they did it straight away just by filling in a direct debit mandate. Wasted 2 hours of my day sorting this, which should have been (and turned out to be) a simple transaction

It would be great to see someone smilie when you walk up to the counter or use basic manners when they return your change or receipt. It's a shame as the surrounding people in the village are lovely people. I guess the people working at the post office are the exception to the rule. It costs nothing to be polite! Please work on your basic manners. Thank you! Reply to comments: @post office- the time I visited wasn't even close to lunch. I see no relevance in that comment. Just a poor excuse for your bad customer service. Customers being '????' If you are referring to myself I have never once been rude or ill mannered even when faced with your outrageously rude tone on regular occasions. Whatever the time of visiting. Again I urge you to rethink your attitude and service levels towards customers.
