Had the unfortunate experience of using this Post Office on several occasions. The times I have managed to use the Post Office (due to the amount of times I've visited & a sign put up saying closed or back at a particular time is unreal), seems to be a issue that needs addressing with a particular member of staff not just from the reviews but local people too. Thats right i'm talking about the curly haired bloke not sure what his problem is or where he got his training from but its less that helpful and professionally, the same experience each visit. I use click & drop to send my parcels which means I should be able to just drop (already been weighed, paid & label stuck on just needs scanning) my parcels in but not with this bloke insists on every time weighing the parcels, two I've been told not enough postage for weight when there was, once told me label already been used was very rude about it turned out he scanned it twice didn't get a apology off him. Stopped going to this Post Office and went to one in Hoyland far better service, unfortunately they've had to close due to staff shortage so back to jump Post Office I went and had the awful experience of the bloke once again, just for a change wanted to weigh my parcels even though already been done, I explained already done said unless its Parcel Force needs weighing said it doesn't because its click & drop the clue is in its name, then couldn't scanned one parcel so stood there shaking his head then progressed to throw my parcels into the Post Office bags from the counter. This bloke needs a serious attitude change and to learn about different services, if you don't enjoy the job then leave, every parcel that's taken in you earn commission on so I really don't understand why you are always so rude. Won't be using this Post Office again and putting a complaint in with the Post Office.
How much cash can I withdraw at a Post Office counter?
The amount you can withdraw in a Post Office branch will depend on any withdrawal limits in place on the specific account you hold with your bank. If you’re unsure, please contact your bank directly to check.
Do I get charged for making cash withdrawals at Post Office?
No charges are taken at the counter however some banks may charge.
For details, please check directly with your own bank.
How do I deposit a cheque at Post Office?
To deposit a cheque, you’ll need to bring the following to your nearest branch:
*The cheque
*A completed deposit slip from your bank, if applicable. Please contact your bank to request paying-in slips as these are not held in Post Office branches
*A cheque deposit envelope for your bank (these are available from your own bank or the majority are stocked in Post Office branches)
Please do not enclose cash. Full instructions can be found on the cheque deposit envelope.
Simply hand over your sealed cheque deposit envelope to the Post Office who will provide you with a receipt for your cheque deposit envelope.
Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?
If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch.
You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. If you’d like to do so, contact your bank directly to find out whether they offer the service and how to sign up.
If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request.
To get more information about your bank’s services and Change Giving, contact them directly.
What is the Post Office Change Giving service?
If you’re a business banking customer and you regularly need to exchange cash for coins, you can do this at the Post Office with selected banks using our Change Giving and Change Giving “Lite” services.
