There's an old man behind the counter who looks at you as if you owe him something — no greeting, no basic courtesy, just contempt. The queues are a joke. I've stood in a line stretching out onto the street, and meanwhile only ONE till is open out of FOUR. Why even have four counters if you're never going to staff them? I honestly don't understand how they keep this place running. There should have been a proper post office here long ago, with proper staff who actually want to help customers. This is hands down the worst post office I've ever had the misfortune of visiting in Ipswich. Avoid if you can.

- DHDerek HallsMar 23, 20265.0I seldom post these days but when I do, and am in the Ipswich area, I go directly to this excellent and somewhat traditional local Post Office. Steve, ever quick with a quip and banter, along with his colleagues, make this P.O. and stationery/gift shop a real hub of their local community (and it avoids me needing to go into the town centre, hoorah). Steve and his team are true assets to the Post Office and Ambassadors of Ipswich itself. Thank you to them all.
