- AHAndrew HowarthOct 13, 20231.0Yesterday I was told by a male member of staff that he couldn't provide me with proof of postage for a small parcel sent 2nd class. I was offered a more expensive "signed for" service instead. When I suggested that this had never been a problem before and I received proof of postage earlier in the week, he loudly exclaimed "I hope you didn't" and moved to glare at his female colleagues. I asked if he would like me to take my business somewhere else and he said "you can if you like", so I did and drove the short drive to Hitcham and received an excellent service there. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING, a shame because this is a well-appointed village shop important to the local community, where I have never experienced such terrible and rude service before. I feel bad for the normally pleasant, proficient staff as I suspect the male member of staff may be the owner.
