Great service really friendly helpful staff and no queues. This post office is so useful because it's local and it's easy to park outside. Thank you

I’ve never had an issue attending this store. But I did recently call them to double check their opening hours on the weekend because most post offices are closed, but the website stated they were open and reviews disagreed. Given the conflict, I thought it was quite reasonable to call to confirm, but they were quite rude. Almost giving a ‘why are you calling about this’ attitude and hanged up before saying goodbye. A little offended to be honest!

Really poor experience at this Post Office counter (inside the shop).
I went in to send several letters and parcels (one international), but the counter wasn’t staffed by a trained Post Office employee — just a shop worker who didn’t seem to know how to use the system. After I completed the customs form, she couldn’t even get to the payment stage.
She also tried to charge me £9.95 to send a 243g parcel. The correct price for up to 250g is £6.30, so this was significantly higher than it should have been.
Because I have Fibromyalgia and was in pain, I asked to cancel and take my parcel back so I could sort it online at home. Despite not paying and the transaction not being completed, she refused to return my parcel and told me it “now belonged to Royal Mail” because it was “in the system,” which is clearly incorrect as no money had been exchanged. I was then told cancelling could take another 20–30 minutes, and was expected to just wait.
To make things worse, while trying to sort this out with another colleague on the phone, she handed over bags of mail to someone she herself said didn’t look like a postman (although she did check ID). That didn’t inspire much confidence.
In the end, this felt like a lack of training and poor customer handling. Customers shouldn’t be given incorrect information or prevented from taking back their own property.
Looking at other reviews, I can see that other people have had similar issues. Would not recommend using this branch, if they can't rob you by overcharging, they'll rob you by trying to steal your parcels! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Over the years, I've used this post office for eBay, airmail, currency exchange, banking things... Always helpful, tell me everything I need to know, and especially these days, the staff will go above and beyond to help me out with what I need. Not sure what sort of interactions previous customers must've had, but they're always wonderful to me and provide everything I need. Pleasure to go to.
