Awful experience today, and not my first either. The lady ‘serving’ at this Post Office is consistently unhelpful and seems to go out of her way to make simple things difficult. Customer service should involve at least some willingness to help, but instead it’s just “computer says no” with a grumpy face. It perfectly sums up everything wrong with the Post Office - no common sense, no flexibility, and no customer care. Either staff need to be more helpful, or the Post Office needs to empower them to use basic judgement.

If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch.

If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request.
