Really bad customer service, I rushed to get there by 5.30 and the post office queue was closed at 5.26 ... but more than likely before that, I spoke to Mario, who was so rude and dismissive, I got told come back tomorrow as they already has two people in the queue! One person dealing behind the counter so maybe Mario could have helped out.
On looking through the reviews I see this has been said on more than one occasion, hopefully these reviews are fed back to the staff, but I doubt it

Reading Post Office – very friendly staff and fair service. Everyone was served in turn, not just those asking for help at the self-service area.

This post office is drastically understaffed. The staff that are there do their best but it's ridiculous. They have 2 at most. It needs a minimum of 3 with another at times to be scanning in parcels that arrive in bulk from Evri. There's nobody to assist with the self service machines unless they leave their position at the counter. Staff say management won't give them more staff. It's better to walk further to Broad Street Mall post office if you can.
