- CMcharlie milnesJan 18, 20251.0If you find this branch shut with no notice or have any customer service issues should you find them open report this to both the Co-Op and the Post Office. If it were possible to give zero I would. Walked up 5x and STILL no parcel. First time greeted with a scrawled sign closed 12:45-14:00. Second time greeted with a sign stating " Closed all day" on a piece of A4 paper stuck to the counter (no indication of this visible on Tuesday??). Third time I returned and the lady refused to give me my parcel ( no photo ID). Apparently the Co-Op requests this even though the Post Office does not. ( I had the card, credit cards and an e-mail from RM). I have also collected a parcel from this very branch without photo ID previously. I requested the parcel to be sent back to the sorting office. The staff were rude and insisted on telling me multiple times that closure for the day was due to an operation. I take this on board but operations ( particularly if pre-elective) are generally known about months in advance. The employee said they were short staff and to apply if I were interested in a job....errrrrrr I will pass thanks. I was told this branch is set to close.This is probably for the best if they are unable to run it as a viable business and take into consideration their customer base needs for a viable service. Edit: A drive to the sorting office. As Royal Mail said, it was returned to sender and not held for collection asI had been lead to believe. Thankyou Co-Op and the Post Office for supplying such poor service and treating your customers with utter contempt.
