- ASAnne SutherlandFeb 4, 20251.0-Have tried to get to the Post Office on Saturday, yesterday and this and 2-orning (in the pouring rain), but it is closed. Online it says opening hours are 9am-1pm and 2pm -5.30pm each weekday?? Always seems to be closed when I go in. Now I know why fewer people than ever are posting letters at post offices - they are all closed!!
- TTTerryMay 20, 20231.0Having been told I could exchange currency there by another post office, I traveled there this morning after checking your web site for the hours, open until 1:00 only to find it is only open two days a week at the best. Of course at 10:00 am, the sign at the post office window says close from 1 until 2 for lunch. Hardlyn the way to operate and keep the people informed.

Was told I can’t post my parcels here despite posting them in this exact post office for over 6 months, and other post offices for several years. They did rightly accept it in the end, as they have done for months and months but proceeded to tell me that they shouldn’t. I was understandably frustrated, insisting that I have posted my parcels pretty much every day in post offices. After finally scanning the correct barcode, when they were scanning the wrong one, they eventually conceded and accepted the parcels. I apologised for getting frustrated but the staff member who served me (Hazel) was extremely rude and took it upon herself to try and suggest I needed to get help for my frustration. Absolutely appalling service.

How do I deposit a cheque at Post Office?
To deposit a cheque, you’ll need to bring the following to your nearest branch:
*The cheque
*A completed deposit slip from your bank, if applicable. Please contact your bank to request paying-in slips as these are not held in Post Office branches
*A cheque deposit envelope for your bank (these are available from your own bank or the majority are stocked in Post Office branches)
Please do not enclose cash. Full instructions can be found on the cheque deposit envelope.
Simply hand over your sealed cheque deposit envelope to the Post Office who will provide you with a receipt for your cheque deposit envelope.
Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?
If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch.
You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. If you’d like to do so, contact your bank directly to find out whether they offer the service and how to sign up.
If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request.
