Came in Saturday lunchtime. No queue, quick service, got what I needed easily.

Completely incompetent staff member!! A guy with long hair served me, wish I had got his name tag.
I wanted to purchase some foreign currency, I asked the cashier what I would like, he gave me the details of the currency and then hit me with, if I paid by card I would need my driving license or passport to complete the transaction, I have never had to do this before, being in a complete rush, I had neither on me to complete the transaction, fuming!! I also waited what seemed a decade in the queue, he was totally unhelpful and told me I need ID to proceed.
This is the most frustrating part, I went home to fetch my id and drove to the post office Asda Carterton. Members of staff are amazing!! Hardly ever have to queue there either.
Again, I asked for my foreign currency and the cashier gave me multiple options on how to pay, she said If I with a bank that accepts cask withdrawals, I don’t need an id to complete the transaction! I was shocked as Witney told me, the only way I could get currency was to show my Id. The cashier said no that’s not the case. The cashier could not understand why I was not given this option at the Witney branch and completely understood why I was so frustrated with Witney.
W H Smith Witney branch, management should consider some staff training or even better, maybe ask a member of the Carterton branch to pop over and make sure your staff are following guidance and procedures when dealing with their customers.
To say this was a huge inconvenience is an understatement, but what this highlight for me is, Carterton is a much better organised branch, I will just go there in future.
Sorry Witney.

Been here not long ago and I was served by a lovely lady called Geisa F. She’s a credit for the business. Nothing was too much for her and she have made the whole process hassle free. Parcel got delivered the next day even being sent to Jersey Channel Islands. Absolutely amazed!!!

This branch is never open when you need them to be, may as well never bother. They just stick a note up saying that they're closed and that they're sorry for the inconvenience. Waste of time.
