I arrived at 09.55 only to be told that it will be closed for 10mins so returned 15 mins later. By this time there were 3 of us wanting parcels to be sent. When a fellow customer asked when it will open again, we were told not for another 10mins as the lady (who is the only person who works behind the post office counter) was having a break. The post office closes at 1pm…. Is this service good enough for a local post office especially for people who work through the week and can only use the service on Saturday which is a short day for opening??

The one didn't know what a special delivery envelope was despite phoning a man who issued her some instructions. Last year when it appeared the post office was owned or managed differently I went through the same process to purchase a special delivery envelope. It was seamless and quick. After spending 20 minutes articulating what the envelope was and showing her a photograph from my phone, she was none the wiser. It's fair to say standards are shocking. I'd recommend you avoid the post office.
