I have never had a good experience here. Keep forgetting - never again.

(I mean, even when very clearly asked please to do so - and, when the place is not busy at all). Instead, they only bark at you the most expensive option, as if it is the only choice available. In order to squeeze the proper range of information out of them, you have to be extremely firm. This is barely manageable, for a very sharp witted, local resident who more or less knows the system, and is prepared to be highly assertive, in the face of their lack of transparency and hostile manner. For anyone else ... completely impossible to access, or even understand, the proper Post Office range of service options here. The "service" is anything but. More like some kind of fascist prison camp. Revolting experience.

Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?
If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch.
You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. If you’d like to do so, contact your bank directly to find out whether they offer the service and how to sign up.
If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request.
