  Great post office. Always help me find the best way to post and compare charges if needed. Welcomed by friendly staff who always take an interest in customers.

  Such an odd shop. Sometimes friendly and sometimes, well, really not.... Today I went to collect a parcel for which I'd had a delivery confirmation email from Evri.  Explained to the lady behind the counter that I had a parcel to collect and showed her the QR code on my phone.  She repeatedly scanned it then shrugged, said it didn't work and told me she didn't think it was Evri.  I showed her the email details which confirmed it was Evri and she realised that (as I'd said) it was a parcel collection.  I'm not sure why she thought I was trying to post a parcel! She then told me I needed to get the parcel from some disorganised boxes scattered around the floor of the shop and then she would scan - there were about 5 different boxes with scrawled names on the outside and no indication of where it would be.  As someone else has said, she proceeded to bark orders at me, and told me that if my name wasn't on the outside of a box they hadn't received it - despite me having a delivery confirmation email which they had zero interest in.  The man just shrugged and told me they get "so many" parcels a day, as though that meant it was okay they had no idea where mine was. I insisted on checking the parcels themselves as the scrawled names really didn't seem like a robust system, and was shouted at by the man for looking in one of the boxes that apparently contained parcels to be sent... Totally unhelpful and disinterested in a lost parcel.  Told me I didn't know what I was talking about and refused to scan/enter the code properly to confirm whether they'd received it.  I don't know what the parcel is as I'm pretty sure it's a Secret Santa gift, which has likely been ruined by this chaotic "system" and poor customer service.  Yes it might have been lost by Evri but I would expect the parcel shop to at least try to help.  This was terrible customer service, and it would be incredibly easy to steal parcels from this place. Use the Wolds post office instead - they're absolutely lovely in there and great customer service!!

  Personally, I find the people in the post office very knowledgeable, helpful and always very friendly. I have had no problems whatsoever over a period of years now. ================================================== Since I wrote this review 2 years ago, I've continued to use this post office. We send a lot of post out and I find the people still very professional and helpful and my parcels and letters get where they have to get to. I'm still VERY happy to go to this post office always.
