When asked what it was that I was sending, I replied “Paper, card and plastic” as I have for years (no liquids, technology or batteries) which has worked absolutely fine every single time (multiple hundreds of items posted). Today, when having what I considered friendly conversation with colleague 1, when asked about the value I responded “approximately £130-135” at which point colleague 1 offered a higher service which would insure the value. Unfortunately, colleague 1 had already progressed past a certain point of the transaction, which meant she had to cancel a previous order. After a while struggling herself, she asked colleague 2 (straight hair female, approx 40 with star/heart tattoos on her fingers) to help with removing the sticker she had already placed on my parcel. Atvthis point, colleague 2 tutted at me and remarked “that’s what we get when people lie to us” to which I replied that I had done no such thing. Then a quick retort of “well you didn’t tell us straight away” or words to this effect. Disappointed that what had began as a friendly exchange over the counter with colleague 1 turned into me being called a liar, which she then refused to acknowledge was a mistake. This occurred during my purchase at 14:40 on 03/08/2026, (special delivery to Belfast) at your Bulwell branch.
