Went in to send a simple small parcel on Saturday the 4th of July, but queues were huge. There was just one poor bloke working, who seemed to be on the verge of giving in, his co-worker was sat aside doing nothing but watching her child run amok behind the tills, whilst she was on her phone. When asked for her help, she denied him, claiming she had no childcare for her child. I watched this small child reach into the tills, grab money and proceed to throw coloured pencils everywhere. Super unprofessional, will be filing a formal complaint. God knows how much money this company has now lost via a child let loose! I hope the young man is doing okay. I wasn't going to create this review but I feel so strongly for the young man, after having to work in a similar environment myself - minus the small child.

Didn’t seem to understand how BFPO posting works. Never had an issue in other post offices I’ve used (5 separate parcels sent), but today the lady at the counter said it wasn’t possible to send the items, and that the previous items shouldn’t have been accepted. Was rude about it. Mentioned a 2kg limit which is nonsense. Said I would have to send the parcels via parcelforce for £40.
Checked the post offices website when I got home and they said they should have accepted the items and that the previous method is correct, and that changes to sending items starting in March 23 shouldn’t affect current postings. Called the contact number provided who confirmed this, they didn’t understand why the office refused to the items.
Went to Port Talbot post office instead and had no issue. £7 in total. Made sending my parcels way more difficult than it had to be. Won’t be using Neath post office again.
Frequently Asked Questions About Neath Post Office
How much cash can I withdraw at a Post Office counter?
The amount you can withdraw in a Post Office branch will depend on any withdrawal limits in place on the specific account you hold with your bank. If you’re unsure, please contact your bank directly to check.
Do I get charged for making cash withdrawals at Post Office?
No charges are taken at the counter however some banks may charge.
For details, please check directly with your own bank.
How do I deposit a cheque at Post Office?
To deposit a cheque, you’ll need to bring the following to your nearest branch:
*The cheque
*A completed deposit slip from your bank, if applicable. Please contact your bank to request paying-in slips as these are not held in Post Office branches
*A cheque deposit envelope for your bank (these are available from your own bank or the majority are stocked in Post Office branches)
Please do not enclose cash. Full instructions can be found on the cheque deposit envelope.
Simply hand over your sealed cheque deposit envelope to the Post Office who will provide you with a receipt for your cheque deposit envelope.
Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?
If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch.
You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. If you’d like to do so, contact your bank directly to find out whether they offer the service and how to sign up.
If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request.
To get more information about your bank’s services and Change Giving, contact them directly.
What is the Post Office Change Giving service?
