Very rude staff and poor customer service. On one occasion I stood waiting for around 15 minutes before anyone came to serve me, as they were in the back “cashing up.”
On another occasion k was refused service as they were “closing” but had roughly 6 minutes before it was the closure time. Then I was told they didn’t offer services that they clearly do. It came across as though they simply didn’t want to provide the service or make the effort for the 5 seconds it would take to do a cash deposit . Overall, a very disappointing experience with unhelpful and poorly trained staff.

If I could give it zero stars I would, there is never anybody available to hand out the parcel that’s been delivered there by Royal Mail, the staff are generally rude (shop staff) their response is “sorry closed and don’t know when it will be back open” I mean what good is that and why isn’t there definitive opening times that are adhered to? If the service at Cambridge road isn’t readily available as they state on their website then why have parcels delivered there in the first place ? my advice would be to avoid this place at all costs (unless you don’t mind waiting days to be able to pick your parcel up) I’ll never use this shop for my parcels again from now on, that’s the 5th time I’ve had this here at Cambridge road, I’ve certainly learned my lesson now.

Such a shame the “real” post office was closed. The people that deal with post are the same staff that work behind the shop till. It really isn’t fair that they have to do a job they’re not fully qualified or trained to do. They have to manage a till, Evri, Post, Royal Mail and Yodel packages. Some things are dealt with at the regular till whilst others are managed at the “post office” counter. Therefore the waiting time is ridiculous and frustrating for both staff and customer.
They need to either hire someone who exclusively deals with post or relocate the post office.

Apparently the post office counter closes at 4pm not 8pm as stated on the information page.
