- TKTouheed KhanAug 18, 20261.0The old lady was extremely rude, and I have no idea why she works in customer service. I went in today to collect a parcel. She asked for my name, and I gave it to her, but she said they didn’t have anything under that name. I explained that I’d received a notification confirming that my parcel had arrived and offered to provide the reference number. When I mentioned “Touheed Khan,” she abruptly cut me off and said that I didn’t need to say “Touheed Khan.” How was I supposed to know that? Do I work in a post office? The rudeness was completely unnecessary. She then read out the order number, which clearly showed that the parcel was in the shop. I asked whether it might be under a different name, but as far as I knew, it shouldn’t have been. I only have one name. She told me that my surname was different, so I explained that I don’t have a surname and that even my ID doesn’t include one. She then told me that if the surname on my ID didn’t match the name on the parcel, they would send it back to the Royal Mail office. Don’t go to this Scotmid Post Office. The old woman there is so rude.

The woman staff had a little bit of a difficulty to find it but it was fine I could wait for it as there was no queue. After she finally found my parcel, she threw the card for me to sign through the narrow hole at me, and got me shocked. I signed the card and threw it back at her as she muttered "That was very nice" and I said "I'm just returning the favour". Respect goes both way lady! Please do not use this post office anymore, the staff is rude and disrespectful!

Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?
If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch.
You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. If you’d like to do so, contact your bank directly to find out whether they offer the service and how to sign up.
If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request.
