With over 11,500 branches the Post Office is the biggest UK retail network, with more branches than all banks and building societies combined. The Post Office provides services central to peoples’ everyday lives; We offer the UK’s largest fee free cash withdrawal network through our 11,500 branches and over 2000 ATMs and 99% of UK bank customers can access their accounts at the Post Office. We provide financial services including savings, insurance, loans, mortgages and credit cards; Government services; telephony; foreign currency; travel insurance and mail services. Post Offices branches remain highly valued and trusted, and are the focal point of many communities.
Anyone who has ever used this post office will know how rude the staff are. Condescending, sarcastic, smug (even when they are wrong and then squirm with embarrassment) and quite frankly useless at their job, constantly giving out incorrect information. They act as if they are above the customers, which is hilarious as all they do is scan parcels 🤣 Out of the 5/6 workers I have seen in the past 5 years or so, only 1 of them isn’t all of the above. Avoid unless desperate.

I just tried to post a parcel and was told straight away 'we don't do evri' even though the postage clearly stated 'The Post Office' also, she seemed new as was being trained when I arrived. She didn't even attempt to scan it. Needless to say the next post office I drove to scanned it straight away with no problems.

Depends very much on who you get on the counter. There is one female of a certain age who, I’m assuming was formerly a primary school teacher, is very condescending, dismissive and haughty. Others I’ve interacted with here have been charming, pleasant and good natured. So, if you’re having a bad day, I suggest you try elsewhere, as if you are unfortunate to get the “Dowager Countess” as she she so obviously thinks of herself, it might just tip you over the edge.
It’s a shame as location is good as is surrounded by range of other shops (chippy, DIY and convenience stores) and has excellent free parking outside and across the road in the council car park.
