Absolutely horrible Post Office. It feels like they are running their own business on the side. I went there to fill in a V62 form, and the Asian guy tried to force me to let him fill out the form for me and asked for £5. This is not an official Post Office service. All of the staff were very rude. Avoid this branch — the staff are not helpful at all.

An Edward 7th large pillar box dating from 1904 onwards sits outside It has a broken aperture reduction plate by the looks of it. These were fitted to the early pillarboxes circa 1906 as it was perceived that a child could reach in and be able to steal the mail. This box has the restriction but it has been broken at some point. Living history sitting on your doorstep when the only means of communication 120 years ago for most was by letter!

What an experience this place is! Called to send a 'signed for' letter. The place is a Covid trap. Customers without masks. Cramped conditions. I entered as third in the queue. By the time I became second in the queue there were now seven in the queue. One man serving behind counter. At this point he takes a call on his mobile! Everything stops while he chats!!! Lady in front says nothing. The guy needs sacking. Seven in the queue and the ignorant t#$t takes a 5 minute call. A word on the cramped conditions.. Postal baskets are kept on the customers side of the counter. Parcels, letters the lot! Anybody could just help themselves to them, and probably do. Never again for me. The best suggestion I have for this place is complete demolition.
