AVOID THIS POSTOFFICE.
The couple running it are consistently awkward, rude and incredibly difficult to deal with. Every visit feels like you’re being challenged just for trying to post a parcel. They seem to make up their own rules depending on the day, and what they refuse one day they’ll randomly accept another.
I regularly send parcels through Evri and know the size limits well. I’ve taken identical parcels in multiple times sometimes they accept them, sometimes they refuse them, sometimes my family takes the exact same parcel and it’s accepted without issue. There is absolutely no consistency whatsoever.
Their latest obsession is insisting parcels have to fit inside the Evri collection bag they keep in front of the counter, as if the size of their bag somehow overrides Evri’s actual published dimensions. My parcel was long and thin, fully within Evri’s limits, yet they refused it purely because it was longer than the bag. This makes no sense at all. Previously they reluctantly accepted the exact same type of parcel while saying “they won’t pick it up” surprise surprise, it was collected the next day without any issue and delivered successfully.
Today they refused two parcels I’ve posted many times before and were unnecessarily rude about it in front of other customers. The attitude was dismissive, argumentative and embarrassing for no reason.
I then went to the next nearest post office and they were both accepted without question. Clearly an issue with the people running this branch. They have no clue at all and seem uneducated.
This branch also seems to operate on whatever rules they feel like inventing that day rather than following the actual courier guidelines. If you want a straightforward drop off without being interrogated, argued with or made to feel like you’re doing something wrong, go somewhere else.
