It was incredibly inconvenient for my husband, who spent the entire morning running around trying to locate the parcel. I made my first visit to the main Royal Mail post office, where I was informed it had been delivered to the local post office. My husband visited the local post office next, only to be turned away by an elderly man who said the parcel wasn’t there. After that, I called Parcel Force and was told that the parcel was, in fact, at the first location I had visited. Frustrated, I went back and confronted the same gentleman assertively, explaining that this situation was unacceptable. During this exchange, the man began laughing, which only added to our frustration. My husband had to step in and tell him off, saying that this kind of behavior was not acceptable. The man tried to excuse himself, claiming he was laughing at a conversation with his colleague, but this felt dismissive and unprofessional. Another colleague even spoke up, telling the gentleman that his actions weren’t right. To make matters worse, my husband was told to return in the evening because the lady who knew how to handle the parcels wasn’t available. After my husband left, she suddenly appeared, which was extremely frustrating. This situation needs to be thoroughly investigated and resolved, as we experienced unnecessary anxiety when we were told the parcel wasn’t there, despite being informed that it was. Additionally, the Parcel Force delivery driver never left a tracking card or any notification. We had to call several places to locate the parcel. The driver did not even attempt to deliver it, as I was home the entire day. This lack of proper procedure, communication, and professionalism has caused significant inconvenience and stress, and it needs to be addressed.
