Surprised by some of the lower ratings here, this post office has been incredibly reliable for me over the years and the staff that works here are lovely.

9:12am now and has still not opened. Not good as not very friendly too any time i have to use this branch. Wonder how long now before it closes for good. People have places to go and things to do.

Gave 1,star as have , issues with this post office, had a parcel delivered there went to pick up only to find it closed for lunch break although on google it says lunch between 1300-1330 , I went after 1330 to find had only just closed for lunch, 1330-1400 , this happened 2 days as I thought must of been a one off but no , then I went again Friday morning, to find there systems were down , until about 1030 , I don’t think I’m destined to get my parcel, as they don’t open on weekends and my parcel will end up being sent back, I only have certain times I can get there so not happy!!!

Tried to drop off a parcel. "Closed for lunch"- not reflected on opening hours so wasted trip.
Arrived the next day. "Closed for the day" when asked why they struggled for a bit and then said "system is down " so clearly a lie.
Embarrassing for the Post Office and it's reputation. Should not be operating postal services from here
Frequently Asked Questions About Southampton Way Post Office
How much cash can I withdraw at a Post Office counter?
The amount you can withdraw in a Post Office branch will depend on any withdrawal limits in place on the specific account you hold with your bank. If you’re unsure, please contact your bank directly to check.
Do I get charged for making cash withdrawals at Post Office?
No charges are taken at the counter however some banks may charge.
For details, please check directly with your own bank.
How do I deposit a cheque at Post Office?
To deposit a cheque, you’ll need to bring the following to your nearest branch:
*The cheque
*A completed deposit slip from your bank, if applicable. Please contact your bank to request paying-in slips as these are not held in Post Office branches

Simply hand over your sealed cheque deposit envelope to the Post Office who will provide you with a receipt for your cheque deposit envelope.
Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?
If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch.
You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. If you’d like to do so, contact your bank directly to find out whether they offer the service and how to sign up.
If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request.
