Went there to drop off a bike box ,all packed and ready to be scanned and dropped .after wasting my time dragging that box there the guy told me they can’t take it and I need to organise a collection .which was a blatant lie confirmed by Royal Mail customer service ……

The staff are friendly but they’re SO understaffed considering the footfall in the area. There’s always a long queue and the self service literally never works. Beyond frustrating.

I went to get my gov.uk One login verified yesterday, but the postmistress refused as my passport, which was current, was going to expire within 18 months. The rule was quite clear: I could have used my passport even if it had been up to 18 months after expiry, let alone the situation where it was current.
There was no doubt in my mind that this postmistress knew that perfectly well - and had refused because I had pointed out she had made a mistake. There is something quite wrong with this post office.

All self-service kiosks have been out of operation for over 7 months as at May 2026. This makes queues unnecessarily long.
