- NBN ButtJun 19, 20261.0Very disappointing service at Kensington Church Street Post Office inside Nisa Local, 190 Kensington Church Street. I visited on 19 June between approximately 3:55 pm and 4:30 pm. One older staff member was working slowly, but he continued serving customers throughout. A young male staff member at the money-transfer/exchange counter spent more than 30 minutes dealing with one customer and appeared unsure about the process. Another female staff member answered her mobile phone while serving customers, then went into the back office and appeared to continue a personal conversation while laughing. When she eventually returned, she asked, “Who is next?” despite a very large queue waiting in front of her. Customers were left standing for a long time without any explanation or apology. Management urgently needs to improve staff training, supervision and queue management. Personal calls should not be allowed to delay customers during busy periods.

Why did my Post Office refuse to issue change?
If you’ve registered for the Change Giving service, you shouldn’t be refused change at your nominated Post Office branch.
You may have been refused if you’re not signed up to this service. If you’d like to do so, contact your bank directly to find out whether they offer the service and how to sign up.
If you’ve signed up but aren’t using your nominated branch, it’s at that branch’s discretion whether they have enough change available to fulfil your request.
