Has one cashier most days and even with the one there is no urgency to reduce the queue. She stops to talk to people and doesn’t even apologise for the delay.

1 member of staff on duty when I entered. The queue was pretty long. Whilst waiting to be served by cashier another member of staff came on duty making that now 2 members of staff on duty. The queue moved along much quicker with 2 members of staff.

Poor customer service and misinformation about accepted banking services.
I visited this post office to deposit a cheque as a Starling Bank customer, only to be told by the clerk that they do not accept Starling Bank. When I asked her to double-check, as I have used this service successfully before, she dismissed me and told me to go to a different branch — one that serves “major banks” — implying Starling does not qualify.
This is factually incorrect. Starling Bank customers can use any of the Post Office’s 11,500 branches across the UK for their banking needs. This is a well-documented feature on Starling’s own website.
The clerk’s attitude was unhelpful and dismissive, and the misinformation she provided prevented me from completing a legitimate banking transaction. Staff should be properly trained on which banks and services are supported at the Post Office counter before turning customers away.

I need to collect my parcel for a funeral and I was unable to collect it even thought they are supposed to open at 9 and close as 5:30 which lead to my having no tie or trousers for a funeral I am absolutely fuming

Extremely stressed and angry staff member. I have never been to this branch before and will never return again.
The staff member would seem to be a decent honest guy under extreme pressure.
I went in to buy 3 envelopes and then to use one to post a letter.
At first he was really kind smd told me I had to go down stairs and gave me a voucher for 25% off. I appreciated that.
When I returned the staff member was trying to help a confused elderly man.
I got to my turn and the staff member was still shouting but instructions to different people behind me about different issues.
I waited patiently. He then asked me what was in the parcel. I have never experienced this before and aim 63. Anyway if that's the bew rules fair enough. Then he angrily pushed the parcel back " you need to find the postcode and write it clearly as I can't read it". " where did you get the address he barked". I found the address I had stored on my phone and gave it to me.
He started repeatedly muttering how he could not read what I had written and I did feel increasingly annoyed.
His voice was raised and he had the manner of Basil Faulty. Exasperated and overwhelmed he started speaking slowly and loudly to me. He spoke yo ne as if I was a child or had a learning difficulty.
I tried to remain calm but did say perhaps if he served one person at a time. He visibly angry said revealingly " I'm trying to help everyone and everyone is having a go at me.
Clearly this hard working good man needs support and perhaps extra staff. He is trying to he helpful and I imagine goes beyond the call of duty but in doing do descends into a spiral of anxious rage.
