  I come here all the time and usually don’t have much of an issue (except the occasional slow moving queue). This time I went there and the man tried to overcharge me £2 for a postal service (it wasn’t even the one I wanted). He tried to gaslight me and tell me that the cost has gone up a lot now and signed for is the cheapest option for me. I even checked the Royal Mail website and it wasn’t adding up to their prices. I asked for a refund as it really didn’t feel right to me. I then went to the other post office by the station… surprise, surprise, the service I wanted was £2 cheaper there. I won’t be going to this post office again unless it’s the lady working as she’s always been good.

  Well you can’t buy the envelopes at the post office you have to buy them from the shop which is a slight annoyance. Then I was speaking to the lady and she was lovely and friendly and not much queue. Then she sent all my Christmas cards across England and one of them arrived with no stamp and my sister had to pay a fiver. I think she made a mistake. Anyway it’s alright as far as post office goes. Friendly people.

  I went in and the line was massive, and they soon opened up another counter so that was good of them. About a five minute wait. Not bad. When I went up to the counter to collect a parcel I had my QR code out and was expecting him to scan it, instead he took out a big book that they had written down everyone's names on and asked me my name. He spent about 3 minutes looking for my name in a list of about 50 or so. When he couldnt find it he turned the book towards me and asked me to find it, showing me everyone's names that had gotten a delivery there over the last week or so. Not very confidential for those who might need it for whatever reason. A terrible system. I couldn't find my name and neither could he so he had me spell out my name to him out loud for everyone in the line behind me to hear, which I had to do 3 times before he spelt it right on the computer. He then went and came back about a minute later with my package and gave it to me. Didn't scan my QR code, okay maybe its broken but then he never asked for my ID either just handed it over. So anyone can go in and get my package by giving my name. Thanks for that. Not a great experience. But not the worst either, at least they didn't lose it, just inconvenience.

  Dreadful. Like most Post Offices nationwide! A failing service and brand since they franchised. Franchises bought by greedy investors who have one counter functional even during busy times! This store is one of the terrible ones! Queues snaking around the store each time I go, with one person serving! In an era time is more precious than ever before, these people need to stop being so greedy and at least attempt to meet demand, instead of having one person serving full time and a second person who will frustratingly open and close the second counter! Nonsense service.

  I arrived at 11:30am on a Friday only to still see the shutters closed even though it clearly states opens at 9am
