    Just went in to DHL a parcel to the US. Had never used this shop before - what.a good surprise! Vee was so kind and helpful. He made the whole process simple and efficient - and DHL ended up being the same price as Royal Mail but 3x faster!

    First time using DHL vs UPS. Normally I don’t have issues with the regular employee I normally deal with but that all changed since dealing with his colleague for the first time. Firstly, never drop off a parcel without a confirmation text even if the person behind the counter says it’s ok. The person behind the counter wasn’t the regular guy I dealt with in the past (no issues at all), he said he didn’t have access to the parcel scanner and that my parcel will be processed once his colleague gets in. He was very eager to give me a pen and paper to write my details so his colleague can scan the parcel, guess what? No text confirmation on the day!!!!! Several days passed by, I checked on the DHL app and it says parcel is at service point. Visited several times across several days, I’ve been given the reach around and potentially losing £400 of goods. Now I’m going through refund process with the courier company, which I’m not happy about as I know I’ll most likely going to lose my money. Update - 18/8/25 (13 days later) DHL, especially DHL eCommerce customer service are absolutely useless. You would assume in 2025 and with AI, that a renown global transit company would have a overview of the whereabouts of a parcels once scanned into their systems (domestically/internationally) but no, they don't take ownership or accountability for any items lost in transit, and would rather have the customer go out their way deal with their Service Point partners than resolve the situation themselves. Please refer to DHL eCommerce recent response after their internal investigation. After several visits to the store, shop owner/colleague allowed me to check the stockroom on each visit (more than 3 times for my lost parcel), took my details, understood my frustration/anger as I was personally losing money, especially £400 in regards of value of goods. When I highlighted the value of the parcel, shop owner response was it doesn't matter £400 or £20, meaning they treat all parcel the same, which is how it should be. I thankful for the shop owner and colleague who were considerate, passionate, understood my frustration in each visit, and turnt a negative review to a positive review. I was respectable also to them and didn't cause a scene, they were true to their words/trust worthy enough to allow me to check their stockroom for my parcel as they had nothing to hide. As a local business, nothing but 5/5 and amazing customer service. Big up's to the Bossman!!! To conclude - save yourself the hassle/frustration, don't use DHL, especially DHL eCommerce as they lack customer service, they don't put their customers first, they don't know where the whereabouts of parcels are, even within their own logistical network where products are scanned at each stage.
